Lisa Lou Berggren is a Swedish Fashion Designer with a Master from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Fashion, exchange semester at Die Angewandte, University of Applied Arts Vienna, coordinated by professor Bernard Wilhelm.
Currently establishing a creative studio named OKULT based in Italy.

Lisa Lou Berggren's creations uncover a fashionable balance between philosophical abstraction and wearability. The contrast between two opposite elements is a recurring subject in her work, tending to shuttle between the expression of harmony and asymmetry.

The making of cloths devotes to an intuitive design process and a conceptual approach. A graphic, obscure, rustic, causal to high-end fashion evolve through draping, deconstruction and illustration.

Blackouts investigate in the relationship between memory and amnesia, the concrete and the abstract, through a process of folding. In a subtle way it directs our attentions towards what we can’t see; our blind spots.

The Fold, like the ones of Deleuze’s is not an uninterrupted straight line but a “becoming”;infinite variations of curved lines in different directions, scales or patterns for each piece in the collection. The function of fold generates an interaction between inside and outside, depth and surface, to seem and to be.

The project interacts between the unconscious and conscious vision by interpreting Henri Bergson’s intuition as a source for truth perceived through durations and that memory means consciousness.

Each piece is sending a philosophical message about our time of collective and individual memory loss of history and traditions.
