Rawan Maki's debut collection, "The Waves of the Future" is inspired by the interaction of humans with the environment – both natural and built – in Bahrain, the designer's country of origin. Rawan Maki combines her environmental engineering background with fashion design and creates each piece as a “system”, both aesthetically and in terms of design principles.
