With its intricate craftsmanship and rich details, this collection offers a unique and contemporary perspective of the culture of Southern Vietnam. The designer develops an idea inspired by the form of the traditional dress of the country, áodài and áobàba. Creating fresh, new materials, the designer experiments with techniques like interlacing, embellishing, laser cutting and origami. Yet most strikingly is the reinterpretation of print, diverse images of street-life in Saigon, the hometown of the designer, contemporaries the traditional dress.
