DOLMAN F/W2016

Dolman came from the Turkish word ‘dolaman’, meaning a loose robe with cape like sleeves. During the Napoleonic War, Dolman was reinvented as a military tunic worn over a shirt. In the Victorian Era, military clothing became widely used as an inspiration in the fashion fraternity and since then hints of martial have been seen in men’s and women’s clothing.
