Vera Iguchi

Vera Alexandrovna Iguchi is a Moscow based designer. A graduate of British Higher School of Art and Design, Vera has debuted with a darkly slick and enigmatic collection in July 2013. Just after the graduate show she was invited to participate in upcoming Mercedez-Benz Moscow Fashion Week in September. Vera launched her own brand V—E—R—A in 2013.
The conceptual narratives within the brand are infused with a search of balance between "two sides of a coin": history and future, art and fashion. Vera believes that the time is up for a consumerist society and it’s modus operandi "You want it, You buy it, You throw it away". Now is a time for new symbols, meanings and even religions. In her work Vera strives to find a balance between emotional and rational, sexual and brutal, conceptual and simple.
Vera express an interest in other forms of art, and in a connection between a body, mentality and emotions basing a creative search on a philosophical thoughts and intuition. Using art tools she just expresses her current inner statement. Vera explores various art ways and collaborates with film makers, public artists, photographers as well as experiments with materials, techniques and technologies in fashion that gives her works a futuristic touch.
