Igor Egarmin and Katya Krasilnikova are friends and classmates who were born, raised, and studied costume design in Siberia. Both worked as creative design professionals with 8 years of experience in the fashion field and apparel production and had a history of successful work with brands such as Walk of Shame, Lecavalier Studio, La Maison Simons, and outdoor brands before creating their first collection.
UN RELATED THEME is a digital project that is aiming to become a physical clothing brand. UN RELATED THEME is using 3D software to tell and fulfil the collection's story while avoiding excessive sampling. The height and measurements of the models are accurate by standard. This makes it possible to view actual proportions. It is easier to visualise how fabrics might behave and fall since all fabrics have a structure and weight that are close to reality.
UN RELATED THEME is exploring the feeling of distance. Fusing references to Slavic mythical creatures, traditional attire, and performance and installation art.
Rigid structure and playful design in the core pieces: rethought paneva and kosovorotka, experimental knits and accessories, leather-feather techniques, classic shapes with a spin in constructive lines, and designer prints, embroidery, and jacquards.
