UglyLovely produce hats and headpieces, combining traditional millinery techniques with unconventional twists eg the shimmer of an iridescent beetle, a real butterfly, or a shedded snake skin. Described as 'sinister but beautiful' UglyLovely's creations are all handmade in the London studio.
UglyLovely is the brainchild of Sahar Freemantle, who, after her degree at the Edinburgh College of Art discovered her passion for millinery, combined with her natural style of the eccentric and the whimsical resulted in the creation this very exciting label.

The Magpie's Loot

This collection is inspired by UglyLovely's showpieces 'Magpie' collection, but offers a wearable solution! Small leather headpieces adorned with real butterflies backed in gold leaf, Cocktail hats with shimmering beetles, A magpie claw clutching a string of Swarovski beads on a 1950's style percher.... At Uglylovely, we believe there is beauty in the most unlikely of things. So we look at the unconventional, the disregarded, the eccentric, even the dark and macabre, and use those things to create our unique, cutting edge headwear.
