Her formative years spent in Gujarat echo and resonate in her designs. She works mainly with block prints, ajarak, tie & dye, khaadi, mangalgiri etc. Her designs and silhouettes are simple, classic and modern. These can be adorned by the womenfolk of any age group.
Nargis has rejuvenated and redefined age-old Indian craft as a niche within the cosmopolitan market, allowing the valued traditional artistic processes to live on despite the pressures of globalization.
Her distinctiveness lies in the adaptation of traditional aesthetics into everyday lives of modern women. The ease and comfort of natural fabric compliments the fine detailing. The clothes are inspired by the diverse crafts and colors of India. The crafts are contemporized and streamlined to cater to everyday wear.
