Taberou was founded as a platform to share everyone's passions for travel, art, and fashion. What began as a online store based in Birmingham is now a global community with department stores in Japan, London, and Hong Kong, , a wholesale showroom in Hong Kong and Birmingham, an in-house clothing line, a blog and an e-commerce site.

Taking its name and mission statement from Japanese “たべよう”, originally means dining together, Taberou adopts a multinational approach to Fashion and Art; In addition to stocking both iconic and emerging homegrown designers, every now and then we showcase the spirit and merchandise of a visiting country, introducing everyone into a marketplace for fashion and international talent.

Today, Taberou continues to grow according to its founding principles of exploration, working with students and dreamers to forge a creative environment that reaches far beyond the fashion world.
