Stelar Wu

I am Stelar Wu who was born in South Korea. I graduated Womenswear at Central Saint Martins.

Unsighted force; the quality or feeling surrounded by a person, which is unshown to others is my concept. I chose this image that is a ‘Thermal Infrared image of full body scan’ a tool to visualize seeing of spiritual force. The image has interesting outlined of the full body of human that looks like a contour line and all outlines are shaped according to temperature changes of human body. So, the designs came from the contour lines and the shapes of the outlines of the body. Moreover, the fabric that I chose for my collection is mostly jersey and mash. The reason I used jersey was because it is the best way to show the inspiration images, which is a fitted human body shape. Secondly, the purpose of using shiny mash fabric and metallic leather strap was to show that it seems like the supernatural powers are coming out of human body. Overall silhouettes came from gothic style. The symbol of gothic is high neck, long dress and long coat. The combination of gothic silhouette and the details of the contour lines are created to be my own feelings of the new holy futuristic gothic look.

For me fashion is the way to control and interact with people in a futuristic way.
As people put my cloths on it semms that they have worn my identity of the futuristic view.
