The Slow Studio

As an Accessory Designer and an avid Slow fashion researcher, The Slow Studio is a beautiful amalgamation of both my passions combined. Initially conceptualized in 2016 as an academic output of my award-winning MA dissertation on slow fashion and Indian jewellery, at the London College of Fashion, the brand took off commercially in 2018, once I was back in India, working directly with the local Indian craftsmen who create our products.

As the name suggests, The Slow Studio presents an antithesis to the ‘Faster, cheaper, more’ stance of contemporary fast fashion - Each product of ours is indulgently handcrafted to tell the story of its origins, and the craftsmen who bring it to life. We marry the eastern values of slowness, community and sustainability to world class design and quality, thereby creating product experiences that transcend trends, cultures, genres and generations – Our jewellery is meant to be lived in and loved, before being passed on as heirlooms.
