This collection explores the way clothing can be used as a language and how people wear it to stand out, when taken out of context, or blend into their surroundings.

I was fascinated at how people choose to reveal and conceal certain aspects of their body, clothing and character through layers and gaps in clothing. Discreet flashes of under-layers can hint to hidden identities and give new meaning to a person’s outfit. The way these outfits merge can reveal a lot about a person’s character and identity.

Some things are easily accepted in our society while others are frowned upon. These taboos require a certain disguise when traveling in pubic. During this transition period clothing becomes merely a prop to conceal these underneath layers, which will soon be discarded and hung up when the wearer is in the correct scene/ acceptable circumstance.
