Sarah Belfakir is a 22 years old Danish and Moroccan Fashion Design graduate from the Designschool of Kolding.
Sarah Grew up in denmark, where she went to a International french school. From growing up and living in a multicultural environment, Sarah is openminded and ready to discover new and exciting things.
Sarah is An ambitious and motivated designer. During her bachelor degree at the design school of kolding, she studied one semester abroad at the royal academy of arts, in The Hague, netherlands.
Sarah carried out an internship at the haute couture fashion house Schiaparelli.

Stay home

With my bachelor project, I have developed a collection as an optimistic interpretation of fashion, influenced by Covid-19.
Under the pandemic, our habits, routines and chores have changed. We do not go to work, and we see fewer people. With this, goes our ways of dressing, we choose and combine our clothing with different criteria such as comfort and availability.
My project works as a reflection on the pandemic, by analysing feelings and experiences from it, as well as the contrasts that it brings.
My project aims to be a positive breath of air and will inspire to live and play. I have worked with identity and have looked at how the pandemic can influence our identity and thereby our ways of dressing and expressing our identity through clothing.
I have worked with surrealism and the unconscious aspect from it, as an identity-creating aspect, as well as bringing the optimistic angle from this art genre. This optimism translates from a post-covid need to play, as well as a need to get out and live again.
