Showcasing for the first time at Graduate Fashion Week Myrto Stavropoulou has managed to find her direction and aesthetic for her starting point. Drawing inspiration from basic elements of her Greek culture she tries to modernize them combining London's contemporary market. Having grown up in Greece and lived in Switzerland for six years her views are versatile and likes to combine personal aesthetics with art in order to create new and interesting ideas. Her focus is mainly on prints in combination with simple silhouettes with an elegant twist.

Latest Collection

Autumn/Winter 2013-14

This collection is consisting of six different outfits all print oriented, the main inspiration was zooming in to things so close to the point that they become abstract which is reflected on the prints of the clothes, imitating the effect of bacteria and microbes viewed under a microscope. This was the main inspiration for the textiles although the silhouettes remained simple and straight. A detail carried out through all the collection is this layering effect which created a nice flow to the garments as they move. The key inspiration for this collection was fluidity and movement.
