We combine traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies and practices to create a new perspective, a unique style, a culture inspired by bygone eras that transcends seasons and trends. Behind Mehr Alejandro’s vision, Mulch is breathing new life into traditional craftsmanship. An Anthropologist, turned self-taught designer, his creations explore the possibilities not influenced by established norms and conditions of impossibility. Mehr Alejandro is inspired by high quality, beautiful yet purposeful vintage designs, “When you turn vintage clothing inside out and you see the care that’s put into the construction, it’s something that’s so rare these days. Willie Boy Collection

Our first collection is inspired by a turn-of-the-century American Indian love story. The legend of Willie Boy is one of forbidden love and defiance turned tragic in a Mojave Desert manhunt. The story hints at the end of an era and the beginning of another: the end of the California desert culture with its rugged, natural beauty and unforgiving attitude, and the start of the laid back, progressive, free-spirited coastal culture that we call home today. “Quality remains long after price is forgotten” – Sir Henry Royce
