‘MAL BIANCO’
Or ‘white sickness’ is inspired by the book ‘Blindness’ by Josè Saramago, which tells the story of a surreal pandemic where everyone becomes blind and see white instead of black. The Blindness is a symbol of the indifference of contemporary humanity as
“Today we have not become blind, but rather we are”.
Every Outfit is a character, without a name but a social role.

The way I embedded sustainability was quite natural for me, as my family has been trading in men's textiles since 1920. Unfortunately, after more than 100 years, the business is closing down because times have changed and quality is no longer a priority for buyers.
Having hundreds of rolls of fabrics has led me to the decision to use them as much as possible in my collection, not only for their good quality and to avoid waste, but also to preserve the heritage of my father's and grandfather's work.
This sad story is unfortunately one that belongs to many other family-run tailoring companies in Italy, especially in the post-Covid period, where many have declared bankruptcy.
I believe there are many ways to save all the unused fabrics and waste of all these small companies by creating a network and this collection is a start.
