Lena Hasibether is a german fashion designer based in Bielefeld. After graduating as a dressmaker in Düsseldorf she worked for the haute couture studio "Das Gewand" in Düsseldorf. Afterwords she enrolled at university of applied sciences in Bielefeld were she graduated 2009 with a diploma in fashion design. At the design department of Joop! jeans women she gained work experience in the fashion industry and participated in a few fashion design competitions. She was nominated with her final collection f. ex. Mittelmoda fashion award 2009 in Italy, where she won the furla accessories award and Createurope 2009. In 2010 she won the 2nd place at Design am Rhein fashion award, Düsseldorf. In October 2010 she presented her first collection at CPD Düsseldorf and Capsuleshow, Paris.

Recently she is working on developing the own line Lena Hasibether.

Latest Collection

Assemblage

The women’s collection entitled “Assemblage”
deals with the theme three dimensional collage,
inspired by the Dada artists Kurt
Schwitters and Hans Arp, space and body.
Through the use of fixed as well as free-moving materials,
this collection plays with both contrasts and
dimensions.

Cork, as a natural material, is used in this
collection to show a new approach dealing with materiality.
To pursure ecological and economic thoughts,
leftovers from the cut process are used as self-evident and
beautiful base material on the other hand this
functioning serve to create a new and
coincidental shape forming.

In the center there is a photo-realistic blend
print, through which a real space installation
is displayed on the clothes. It‘s a subtle and
concentrated way to implement the theme.
The collection is complemented by sportive accessories
made of cork.
