The inspiration for Lauren Nevada collections begins with a great silouhette; a vintage button-down, a Victorian dress, the perfect shoulder seam or hem detail. These ideas are re-worked many times to create new shapes as Lauren drapes her pieces by hand, sews them together and corrects them again and again.

Lauren Nevada is located in Brooklyn, New York and was founded in 2009 by the designer Lauren Nevada Batchelder.

Lauren works from a little atlelier in Tunisia for a part of the year, crafting her pieces with seamstresses on site. When she is not in her atelier in Tunisia she splits her time between New York and Paris.

Silk tee from LAUREN NEVADA featured in wet plate collodion photography project. Goldyn boutique collaborated with Kristen Hatgi Photography/ Hatgi Sink Studios to create 14 original images for their recent look book which mix fall fashion with the concept of "the crown" and is so titled CROWN.

Wet plate collodion which developed in the 1850's involves producing a negative image onto a glass plate. The glass must be coated, the photo taken and then the image developed all within a short amount of time. This technique captures very fine detail and gives the images a spirit of their own.
