I'm Kumar Abhishek, a fashion designer, stylist and a visual artist. I was born in Aurangabad, Bihar, India and graduated from National Institute of Fashion and Technology, in Himachal Pradesh.

I've nurtured my creativity exploring the concurrence of fashion and design. I see fashion as an art; the whole world is a museum. Consumers and their choices fill the blank canvases where our designs interact with the circumstances of their universe. In my work, I try to focus on the actual lives lived by real people, and incorporate social conditions and human emotions into my designs. That’s the source of my inspiration.

This world is filled with life. Each art piece, each garment, has a story to tell in our world’s museum.

Everyone goes through certain stages to reach infinite love or intimacy. Does intimacy exist without these stages? It is something that appears when we look for it.

Think about it. These stages have a common center:

Sense of touch

Togetherness

Revealing oneself

Being one body

Infinity

My collection explores these stages and hopefully gives a true sense of intimacy. The basic concept is to show intimacy with the garments, the fabric next to our skin. Like being with myself or a partner or lover with whom I want to explore and share my life.

Is intimacy only about sex? No, not at all.

Then what is it? Is it a feeling? or a connection? or a relationship? or just a story line? Is it a mood ? Can it appear and disappear? Is that something that you can hold onto?

Have you touched skin getting intimate? Or have you seen it in fingers running through a partner’s hair?

No, of course not because it happens in silence, utter silence when your heart is not overflowing with a thousand conflicting emotions.

Intimacy is something that can be reflected in our own art when all elements work together.

Capturing the shape and feel of the garments visually is like being intimate with my own art.
