For DESIRE2008, desire and satisfaction are united in a beautiful synthesis. Desire is explosive with creative force. Wishful or greedy the collection evokes the many meanings of human desire in order to provoke and please.

At a glance the impression is one of elegant repose with dusty shades of grey and blue draped in fabrics of mixed wool and cashmere. Silk organza is see-though and self-conscious, lined with chiffon to make a dress or skirt it serves as a transparent cloak to expose our desires. Delicate tailoring unifies the collection of jackets and shirts lending a sense of refinement.

But desire can be a hungry greedy emotion. The construction of each garment mirrors this sentiment. Each piece is built impulsively from the stand rather than from a set pattern. Finished shirts and tailored jackets are layered together to make one, fulfilling our desire for more more more. Each layer can be adjusted on the whim of the wearer to make different variations of the same piece. Similarly desire feeds a neurotic attention to detail, silk piping and french seams complete each three dimensional layer. This is an experiment in constraint gone wrong; the result is cleverly simple.
