Katia Kozyreva is a brand of Moscow-based fashion designer, stylist and artist Katya Kozyreva. founded in 2009. The key idea of ​​the brand is author's collections and single items-artifacts.
At the moment, the main product of the brand is a kimono-puzzle. Kimono-objects assembled by hand from many fabric fragments. Kimono puzzle is a personal story, individual assembly and originality. And this is a statement for those who have something to say.
The brand also stands for environmental friendliness and reasonable consumption. For the production of a kimono-puzzle, the remnants of fabrics are used, lunges during work are minimal, each kimono sample exists in a single copy and is individual.

The #kimonopuzzle project appeared during the 2020 quarantine. It was difficult to buy fabrics at that moment, but I wanted creativity.
Then the idea came up to use everything, everything that lay and did not find application - pieces and remnants of past collections, something from client orders, cuts that friends sometimes give because “you sew”.

At first I just assembled the canvas like a puzzle. There was golden silk, lace, something with a print .. And only then - “well, let there be a kimono!”
So I collected the first #kimonopuzzle
It was immediately bought, then the second and third.
certainly, I am buying new fabrics for kimono now, so these are no longer leftovers. But I collect the thing so that there is no waste, lunges, garbage. And the kimonos themselves, of course, are a reflection of slow fashion. Most are made to order, about a specific character, by individual standards. a bit out of fashion and mostly about art.
