American born and London based designer Karen Brost has channelled her love for all things sexy, polished and glam into a full scale tailored suiting collection for the Fall 2008 season. With designs such as the Tempestuous Tuxedo, Chloe’s Corset & Wallstreeet Willamina, Brost is sure to strike a cord with Powerful Women in Business and Fashionistas alike.

Brost confesses to a lifelong fascination with the question of “what makes something a timeless classic?” Is it fit, colour, style or just a combination of the practical with an added pinch of nostalgia?

Brost’s reckons the “timeless classic” design formula is a blend of 80% Classic & 20% Rock and Roll and it is her intention to bridge the gap between the traditional rules of couture and the cutting edge of fashion.

Karen’s first signature collection has been approached as a “Powerful Woman’s Lifestyle Tool” and is geared to take a woman from the boardroom to the ballroom in flawless style. The Italian-made foundation collection consists of immaculately tailored jackets, trousers & super slim pencil skirts. Tailoring and suits are then surrounded by a plethora of day to evening dresses, blouses, cashmere knitwear, evening coats and outerwear. The colors range from bone, camel, charcoal, and black, to an added boost of hot scarlet and magnolia.

Karen’s first collection has already gained an unprecedented buzz in Hollywood. Currently Brost is dressing Sharon Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Dita Von Teese, Rosanna Arquette and Charlize Theron. Her first call on the Hollywood screen will br the wardrobe designed for Gwyneth Paltrow’s role in the Iron Man.
