We are Juxtapose.

We met soon after relocating to New York City. Allie coming from Texas, and Lelia from Arkansas. Luckily, being from the South wasn’t the only thing we had in common! We soon discovered our shared love of fashion and design, as well as late afternoon snacks of 20 oz. Cokes and Hershey’s bars. As we continued to find similarities, the idea of starting our own fashion line developed from a fleeting thought into an idea, then into a plan, and finally into reality. And, here we are! We are now, Juxtapose.

Our line embodies the meaning of the term juxtapose. It’s a little bit feminine, a little bit menswear, somewhat eccentric and very wearable. It’s a direct representation of the two of us, our different tastes, and our different design styles. As a company, we are committed to being made 100% in the USA, currently made in NYC. We only use 100% cotton fabrics in our designs, and we source everything as locally as we can. From our care labels being found on etsy, to some of our fabrics being found in Harlem.

For Fall 2011, we were inspired by the 1920′s and 1970′s, while designing. This came through in our color palette as well as the silhouette of our designs. We hope you love it as much as we do!
