JEWELER T

Ever since I can remember myself, I was looking into forms and materials.
I grew up in a home in which my father was making jewelry, and this urged me to touch and feel materials, to cut them and to assemble them.
After years of contemplating I decided to study with a Jewelry artist/teacher. I studied with him for two years and worked at the same time in the field. I started creating jewelry and accessories like pens, watches, tie pins and cufflinks.
After a few years I felt something was still missing. I decided I wanted to improve my knowledge about materials and design. I studied industrial product design for 4 years at the "Avni Institute" in Tel Aviv. I found myself very attracted to materials and to the process they undergo until they finally form a product.
The two Worlds met: jewelry design and product design.
After my graduation I started a small independent studio, where I supplied design and modeling services to the market and also designed my own products that were sold in stores.
After three years I decided I needed a break and went on a trip to the Far East with my companion.
A few months before the trip, I began making jewelry that was influenced by both the worlds of jewelry and product design. Throughout the trip I was exposed to amazing places and cultures that engaged people who believe in different religions, speak different languages, eat different foods and still live together in harmony. When we returned to Israel I knew exactly what I wanted to do: combine all these elements into one creation.
So I began working on a collection that will bring together two of my great interests: product design and jewelry making. I created a connection between metal processing techniques and product design techniques. Shapes and sizes also varied according to the raw material, texture and shape.
Thus was born the brand: JewelerT, which combines both my favorite passions.
It is very important to me as a designer and goldsmith to engage between these worlds of materials, technique and functionality, and to maintain a free relation among all these elements.
