Jennifer Fager is born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden but is now based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
She recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion & Textile Technologies from AMFI (Amsterdam Fashion Institute), where she specialized in International Fashion & Design.

With a love for textile innovation and intricate craftsmanship, she explores the possibilities between new technologies, science and fashion to come up with contemporary, meaningful and sustainable solutions. Aiming to protect the environment while also reshaping the social constructs around us - shifting us from ’’post-fashion’’, into a new time of wearable technology and circular sustainable products.

It is because of her fascination for combining traditional couture techniques with new technologies that Jennifer chose to develop and work with 3D printed textile manipulations, also known as 4D textiles, for her graduation collection SYMBIOSIS. With her own small desktop printer, she has transformed a variety of recycled pre-stretched fabrics into bigger pieces of 4D textiles, showcasing a small percentage of the techniques possible applications in fashion.

Symbiosis

SYMBIOSIS is a high-tech and sustainably driven handcrafted collection inspired by the complexity of corals and the notion of ecological grief.

Aim to act as a platform to start crucial conversations about ecological grief, our role in the future of coral reefs and the positive influence we can have if both societal and behavioral change was made.
From using technologies such as 3D printed textile manipulations and 3D pen details in a new and playful manner, the collection evokes emotions such as curiosity, happiness and hope. Emotions that together shows how positive change can promote growth.
The lineup progress from stark white to more vibrant and expressive colours, symbolizing the new life that can grow from a bleached coral skeleton.

All looks are carefully handmade using 100% RECYCLED MATERIALS and biodegradable 3D printing filaments.
