Born in 2002 in Aichi, Japan. During high school, she specialized in fashion design and developed a keen interest in knitting and its materials through club activities. After graduating from a vocational school, she worked as a freelance knit creator under the name of Hitsuji Mochizuki. She created stage costumes, commercials, and space decorations for collaborative exhibitions across various industries. She aims to create clothes that harmonize with nature and living creatures, primarily by hand-knitting with wool. She won the grand prize in the FASHION FRONTIER PROGRAM 2022, a fashion award initiated by designer Yuima Nakazato to nurture and support future designers. In 2023, her work was exhibited at the Ars Electronica Festival.

There are many steps involved in the process of turning the sheared wool from sheep in the spring into clothing. The fabric is washed, dyed, spun, knitted, and woven before we can finally wear it. In the meantime, spring arrives, and I receive the new wool once more. The seasons change, the sheep die, and I will die someday. Sheep, people, and even the sweaters I knit so diligently will one day return to the earth. We live in this way. I want to knit clothes to keep people warm in a world where both sheep and people can live happily. All of the pieces in this series are hand-spun and hand-knitted from the wool of "Saako," a sheep she lives on the Aichi Farm. The accent red color is used to dye the yarn ends at the end of the knitting to mark the end of the yarn in case someone will one day knit it again.
