I was born in the United States after my parents immigrated here in 1995 from Venezuela. I was raised in a home where the sewing machine was no stranger to my ears. My love for designing started at a young age and manifested strongly around my teenage years. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, furthering and honing my design skills. Now, I pride myself on creating concepts far from the norm. To me, fashion is about playing with contrasting opposites and showcasing stories of unity. I believe fashion is about learning and improving, which I aspire to do with every step of the process.

VANQUISHER

Vanquisher is inspired by my own life. I have struggled with anxiety due to a traumatic incident that occurred in my home country of Venezuela. It caused extreme anxiety for years, and also caused me to separate myself from my Venezuelan and Spanish roots. This collection is my retaking of my culture and adding to it an idea of using clothing to vanquish and conquer your own personal issues, whatever they may be. Vanquisher is my take on utility wear with a Spanish flair, with the goal of empowering the wearer. It is a hard thing to Vanquish your fears. And it is a hard thing to confront your fears. Through Vanquisher, I learned how to conquer and overcome mine. It was a catalyst for me to not care about what has happened in the past and who I am now.
