the collection is about the feeling of lightness that water transmits me every time. This is more THAN relaxing, it’s like living in a parallel world, where time doesn’t exist and peace becomes relity.

Trying to express those feelings I took photos OF DRESSED PEOPLE inside the POOL-WATER ADDING OVER THEIR CLOTHES SOME DRAPED PIECES OF COLORED FABRICS. My FINAL intention was STUDYING shapes that CLOTHES AND fabrics tOOK UNDERWATER.

Life and lightness ARE comparable to youth as well as to the “anti gravity” of a person in the water; FABRICS goes wherever they want like young people make things without thinking.

CURIOUSLY not all the people relate this feeling with life, there are many that associated it with the death. What is water for you? Life? Think about you can’t swim and you are in the hight water of the sea. So, is just life?

Bill Viola, the artist that inspire big part of my work had a tragic experience with water but that fact turns in a revelation for him: “Since then, water has been central to my world. It is life but it can also destroy life. It prompts me to say: go beneath the surface of things, aim for their soul”. thinking at the bill viola EXPERIENCE i use reflection.

In this work I share my surface. I share my lightness and my struggle not get carried away by it. Ligntnes that makes me feel young but that can destroy life if it’s to much.
