Emilia Mala

Emilia Mala is a London-based contemporary fashion brand, debuting with a collection
of digitally printed silk scarfs in January 2017.

Using mixed media and hand-drawn illustrations, Emilia Mala relies on visual storytelling;
using vibrant colours, drawing inspiration from old films, graffiti and vanitas paintings,
combining vintage jet set elegance into dark aesthetics.

Emilia Mala scarves are made in England from high-quality silk and hand-finished with
rolled hems in our studio.

Anna Tuomaala is the creative mind behind the Emilia Mala brand. The name comes
from her middle name and end of her surname.
Anna was born in Finland and educated in womenswear design at Aalto University in
Helsinki, Ravensbourne College and Central Saint Martins in London. Her design
experience includes time spent in prestigious design houses in Antwerp and London.

Emilia Mala started as a side project out of her passion for illustration and visual art.
