This collection has become the first step after my return to Belarus: for 7 years I have been working and studying in Europe. I wanted to make a sartorial study of ethnical costume of my country and make it current, relevant. Once I came across a book on Belarussian ethnicity full of pictures of peasants: men posing with shovels and women with milk buckets. All of them wore these full sleeves, which looked very rich to me and contrasted with their surroundings.
