SS17 was inspired by the uniform of L.A motorcycle gangs, the notion of rebellion and my own personal struggle to exist within the eastern cultural codes while living western and vice versa. I guess you could say that the inspiration for this collection was partly personal and borrowed. I was inspired by the rebellious nature and attitude of the L.A motorcycle gang and the cross-section between the cultural dos and don’ts in my personal life.
