The inspiration for this collection came from the 1970s documentary called Grey Gardens about the life and lifestyle of big and little Edith Bouvier-Beale, the cousin and aunt of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. It revolved around the dilapidated mansion that they live in with no running water or electricity, yet they refuse to move. The woman constantly attempt to remain looking their best, despite their lack of wealth.
