Masekar saabian (wearing a garden of flowers)

Masekar Saabian was born from Rilya’s personal experience of her migration to Bali nine years ago. Since the first time she set foot in Bali, she wanted to make a collection inspired by The Island of Gods, and her wish came true when she looked at the old black - and - white photographs of Balinese women in the dawn of tourism era 1920s - 1930s decade that are seen wearing flowers on their head and a pair of subang (large earring) on their ears. Aside from that, the flowers that are always seen everywhere in Bali amplified rilya’s inspiration to create.
