Spring '12 began with a trip to architect Alex Gil’s Brooklyn personally designed apartment. His backyard was completely constructed from floor to ceiling with steel panels.. Each panel had been rusted in different forms, textures, and patterns. This was the launching point for the Spring '12 collection. While showing the fall collection in Paris and London I began taking pictures of rusting buildings, decaying walls, old antique looking doors and handles, gym lockers with ivy falling down the side, and even bicycle chains.
