Born in China, I immigrated to the United States at age 6. Growing up in Brooklyn, I slowly became more connected to American culture. Over time, I feel I’ve lost my connection with my Chinese culture and I set out to regain and understand my own heritage. My thesis collection was inspired by Chinese landscape painting. The collection was founded in my interest for traditional Chinese art and was an experimentation of it in dimensional form.
