The starting point of the collection is the spirit of novelist Colette. The meek ingénue’s first book about her own coming of age was being dismissed as too coying and feminine, her literature however, made more of an impact than her husband’s expectations.

Her spirit of innocence and rebellion was translated into tailored collars in the pieces of SS20, and has led to research into garment pieces that dated back to the 18th centuries.
Including antique nightdresses and court dresses stored in the V&A, mainly made of cotton linen, voile, silk or wool.
