Mart is an archaic word for market. Market is the heart of our life, the essence of passions, customs, habits & traditions of human society. It is where the vividly evolving tradition is especially acute. The collection refers to Russian street vendor’s image throughout time, from pre- to post-Soviet period. It uses 19th century homespun linen, hand-dyed 1950th vintage wild silk and washed nettle.
