pulsation | segmentation

As his thesis collection for his graduating year, pulsation | segmentation delved into Gousche's background as a software engineer, pivoting upon an algorithmic structure known as quadtrees, which breaks up a 2D plane into recursively smaller squares, and its implications on silhouette and pattern cutting. Both manually and computer-generated quadtrees on paper set the guidelines upon which a rule set was imparted, restricting the draping process to cutting, folding, and aligning against these lines on the 2D and 3D figure.
