With the 2014 ROTHKO winter collection, a new era begins for the brand since the Rothko is the first collection born under the name ÉMÉ and it is the foot stone of a consistent and distinctive image. The collection was inspired by Mark Rothko’s mature, abstract expressionis era. The works of the artist which express extreme emotions – such as the Rothko-chapel series or the pictures entitled No.2 or 012 – with its’ impressive size, lively colours and statuesque stlye defined the collection’s atmosphere, furthermore were reflected in the cut lines and in the choice of colours as well.
