Hypnagogia draws inspiration from the transitional state between wakefulness and sleep. It draws on visual stimulus from traditional alchemic symbols, early Arctic explorers and artists such as Yayoi Kusama. This was then translated as knitted textiles, juxtaposed with foiled leather to create exiting, tactile, luxury garments. Experimental materials were used to knit such as polyurethane coated yarn, leather thonging and gold foils. The collection was shown as part of Kingston University MA show, sponsored by Farrow and Ball. Photography by Kiril Kovachev.
