BODY ELECTRIC is a response to our growing dependence on information technology— its omnipresent yet intangible nature.
The outer garments are based on the uniform, whose dissection reveal hand-embroidered electronic circuits, a fusion of human and computer anatomies. This embroidery in turn, reveals what hides beneath the skin, the networks and pulsations of the body— its heartbeat. Through a fusion of craft, handwork and technology, we are able to see the invisible, and bring to light a new dimension of aesthetic expression.
