Acephala’s collection – Femme Maison – is a tribute to contemporary art legend Louise Bourgeois. Motives and silhouettes used in the construction of clothes are draw from the stereotypical images of what woman wear at home – changing those images into modern, experimental clothes. Dresses, coats and blouses base on classic apron construction. However, the apron form becomes incorporated into the construction of garments. The main decorative motive is flounce, either attached to the side of dresses or suspended below the hemline.
