After a Bachelor in Fashion and Costumeat La Sapienza University in Rome, Chiara worked a year for the independent brand Aroma30, deepening her knowledge of tailoring and craft techniques. She then completed her further education at Polimoda, graduating in 2013 at the end of a Master Course. As a designer, she's interested in pursuing a new and unconventional idea of beauty, drawn from unexpected topics and suggestions. Her collections are produced in Italy.

An Akward Beauty

Inspiration came from the Japanese Noh theatre, in which actors embody the spirit of their ancestors by wearing a mask. In Italian the word "mask" derived from the other of "ghosts". Thinking of homeless and foolish as nowadays society's ghosts, I developped a collection in which beauty is obtained by mixing contrasting fabrics and textures, silks and hemps are joined in cocoon shapes where selvedges are used as embellishments. The result is a five pieces collection whose scraffy and random look is only illusory.
