After getting BA and MA in International Relations Ayla moved to Los Angeles in 2009 and decided to enroll in a fashion design course in order to pursue her long time dream to become a designer. She graduated from Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with AA degree in Fashion Design in 2013. After working in apparel design and PR in LA, she returned to her home country Azerbaijan and later started her luxury womenswear label," Aila". Aila's first collection is based on clean lines, feminine silhouettes and pastel hues. Living in California changed Ayla's aesthetic dramatically, and gives her designs an effortless touch. She is also inspired by modern architecture and shapes. Her two consecutive collections both feature contrasting fabrics and subtle looks which became the brand signature. After moving back to Los Angeles she decided to rebrand her brand image and has stopped all operations of the label. Aila will be back with totally redefined image in 2019.
