From the Edinburgh Hat Studio, award-nominated Scottish Milliner, Sally-Ann Provan, creates distinctive, elegant, modern millinery. With a far-reaching reputation and international client base, Sally offers a bespoke service designing headwear for events, weddings, garden parties, investitures, and racing, as well as for opera, ballet, theatre, and television.
After an Honours degree in Jewellery, Sally trained under the late Queen Mother's milliner, and with The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Sally shows internationally, including London Fashion Week, ‘Dressed To Kilt’ in New York, and ‘UK Now’ in Melbourne. Her work has been featured in three books, an album cover, and in the National Museum of Scotland’s new Fashion and Style Gallery, and is regularly featured in the fashion press. Clients include Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Lady Claire MacDonald, The Marchioness of Bute, The BBC, and Kezi Silverstone, and she is milliner to the Scottish Opera.
At the heart of the Sally-Ann Provan Millinery is the desire to bring a modern, contemporary aesthetic to traditional practices, to create stunning, unique and hand-crafted designs. Sally-Ann Provan Millinery releases two capsule collections each year, and has timeless ready-to-wear and bridal collections available year-round.
