ALUF

Nise,

Spending my days at the office, I missed being around the colors of the sky painted by the sun. I missed the smell of my mother’s clothes, I missed home. I missed the wind through my hair, the sound of breeze. The ocean, the salt, the Sun. I missed feeling the world, putting aside the weight of trying to make up for it.

Although the books and dissertation are still open at the living room, the homesickness made me wish for simpler moments, lighter and fill with joy making me realise that endless fullness is utopian. I fell that art therapy brought me here, to this cathartic moment, to set me free of eagerness and explanations, to understanding the magnitude of self knowledge and the utopia of plenitude.

Maybe this is living. A juggling of moments, smiles and outstanding clews of fulfillment. And that is fine. For a life full of simply happy moments, with kids playing with nature. With the sun heating my face, not walls of concrete. May the Sun paint golden rays in my days, even if through the window that shows me the good moments.
