I was inspired by womanhood of my mother.
It is about strength to wear your pains as badge or pride. You can come from the bottom of the barrel but live with pride and celebrate how long you have come.
For many of us, a woman you are exposed to the most from a young age is your mother. She is the default idea of my understanding of femininity.
I enjoy working with personal topics because it helps me engage deeper in the process.
Important stories for the collection are metal fused textiles, scarf prints and feather belts. I intend to make a pleasant looking mess by clashing different up textures, yet in a wearable garment form.
