Propagande Noire was born from the subcultural and post-industrial melting pot of the zero's years where the musical, artistical and social landscape were heterogeneous mixed to create the typical expressions of the “bricolage” teorized by Barthes or what McLuhan called “liquid society”.
From these assumptions, the production of Propagande Noire is focalized on the use of different medium to blend trend that influenced the contemporary artistic scenery.
Therefore, at the core of the Propagande Noire's project there is the coexistence of many styles: from the Basquiat's irrationally primitive painting to the iconoclastic use of fabric and shapes as a way to distinction and communication.
Propagande Noire's collections developed between Milan and Florence: the Milan gothic architecture produce the key concept of the brand, instead the drapery research moves to Florence where the infatuation for the Renaissence beauty and the textile tradition reaches its peak.
In the name itself of Propagande Noire can be inferred the sophisticated combination of the black colour thought as philosophy linked with a bottom-up and undergroud view of the artistical pursuit.
The dark side of the black is employed as a weapon impact, as valorisation concept of the highest worth and value of the black colour: the elegance.
The nimbleness of shapes conjoint with the visual and emotive impact of the black, understood as absence of reflected light, are fecundated by the idea that semplicity, a semplicity concettualy elitary, can suit everybody without any difference.
