Vanitas

Collection VANITAS

Winner collection from Bratislava fashion days 2012 competition- New faces of fashion scene.
Main idea comes from Vanitas theme, which was often used in medieval paintings. The Latin word means "vanity" and loosely translated corresponds to the meaninglessness of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.
Symbolic of colours draw the circle of life- white as a symbol of nativity, pink as youth, gold as a symbol of productivity, silver as senescence and black as a symbol of fading.
Leather trims which are used in collection are the showing the mercuriality of life.
