MEGHA GARG

Megha Garg Poddar is the Founder & Creative Head of Megha Garg Clothing, a graduate from NIFT, Kolkata, 2010 and Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design, London, 2011. A freelance Designer in 2011, she launched her eponymous label ‘Megha Garg’ in 2012, as part of the Gen Next Designer Programme at Lakme Fashion Week, India.
With 27 successful collections since 2012, under her company Megha Garg Clothing, she has made a mark nationally and internationally.
She was awarded the ‘A’Design Award’ in 2018. Later that year she was recognized as a Design Hero by the A'Design Award and ranked no. 70 in the Designer of the World Ranking for the year 2018-19. She launched kidswear in 2019 at India Kid's Fashion Week.
She was recognized in the top ‘100 Women Entrepreneurs in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSME)’ by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India in March 2020. Her collection 'Universe Beyond Clouds' has won the Golden Novum Design Award in August 2020. She also works as a design consultant and a portfolio counsellor as a side hustle.
She is a mother to a 6.5 year old, and is currently working on Sustainable Goals from her Design Studio in Kolkata, India.
